My freshman year, I was recruited to Northwood High School’s Varsity team as one of the only Freshman in the history of the program to play at the Varsity level. Although I was fortunate enough to make the team, during my first year, I took a step back and learned through observation- understanding the effort and dedication required to excel on a higher level team. That year, I learned that being mentally prepared is just as important as being physically prepared, helping me grow as a person and player.
Going into my Sophomore year, my personal confidence grew as I began to understand my true potential as a player, leading me to an outstanding season. At the end of my Sophomore season, I was privileged enough to obtain the title of MVP and First Team All League. These accomplishments have helped me understand what it takes to be a leader, setting an example for the rest of my teammates and ultimately resulting in my role as team captain my Junior year. I’m looking for a welcoming program that fosters a supportive environment where I can thrive both athletically and academically. I believe that I can contribute to a college team through my coachable nature, my desire to improve, and my hard working character. As a three year Varsity player and team captain, I am confident in my ability to help your team achieve their athletic goals.
