My name is Makael Isaiah Carter from Lancaster, a charter city in northern Los Angeles County, in the Antelope Valley of the western Mojave Desert in Southern California. This personal statement aims to introduce myself and let you know I am very interested in becoming part of a basketball program.
Basketball is basically my whole life, and I have put my blood, sweat, and tears into this game, which I love. For thirteen straight years, I have been acquiring, developing, and honing my basketball skills. Currently, I am a senior who has been on the Eastside High School basketball team for four years- I have been a player on two AAU basketball teams, Antelope Valley Assassins and the Wolf Pack, and before that, I played for the Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation since I was four years old-True Dedication. During my high school basketball career, I was on the team that won the Division V CIF State CO-Championship. This year I was player of the game four times, the player with the most three points made in the league, and received great recognition from my league coaches by making First Team Player for the 2022/23 season.
Being a dedicated, coachable, hard-working, team-first player, I would be a great addition to your program. I have included a link to my highlight clip to provide a glimpse of my skills and abilities.
