My name is Idrees ElFarra, I'm a class of 2026, 5'8 PG(SF) from Manteca, California. I went to school at River islands Technology Academy in Lathrop, and am going to River Islands high school in Lathrop. I have always had a 4.0 GPA.
In my most recent school basketball season(freshman basketball 2022-2023) I averaged 23.1 ppg, 4.1 apg, and 5.8 rpg. I was team captain, and received the mvp award. I was able to showcase my talent, as well as show my true character as being a leader. I was always the first person in, and last person out. I am an all around skilled player. I can shoot pretty well, my finishing and playmaking are my best 2 parts of my game, and my defense is good as well. I'm able to guard all 5 positions when needed. My Basketball IQ is off the charts, and I know how to read almost every play, and zone possible.
With me going to River Islands High School, this is its first year opening, so the class of 2026 will be the first ever graduating class for the high school. This also means that there will only be a freshman team for all the sports. This has a positive and negative impact. The positives being I can dominate my age group, and show how I am with players my age. The negative would be, not being able to play up and get noticed more, and it would look better on an application to show that I am playing up.
Everytime when someone asks me what I want to be when I grow up, I tell them I want to be an NBA player. They always respond with, well what if that doesn't work out, what's your real job going to be. I never liked when they said this, it made me think it wasn't possible. Until I realized that it is possible, and I want to prove everyone wrong. I want to be the person to say my job is an NBA player, it's all I ever dreamed of.
