Jacob Pofsky '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jacob Pofsky. I am a 6’2’’combo guard from Agoura Hills, California. I am a Junior in the class of 2021, and I just completed my second year as a member of the Shalhevet High School Varsity basketball team were I earned "First Team All League" honors. Throughout the first three years of High School I have earned a cumulative 4.2 GPA. 

Prior to the beginning of my Junior year, I attended multiple college tours with my AAU club, BTI, which is the club I have been a part of throughout all of High School. While the schools I have visited to this point are mainly East coast schools, neither religion, location, nor size are deciding factors in the school I will eventually attend. I would like to be a part of a team and University that provide the best balance of academics and athletics possible. 

Finally, outside of basketball and school, I am currently the President of the “Feed the Hungry” program at my temple and have been since 8^th grade. Every month we provide meals to 50-60 less fortunate members of the community. In addition, I hold an annual sock drive and toiletry drive at my school and temple. Finally, I have held numerous leadership positions at my temple, including the Community Outreach Chair on my temple’s youth board, teaching assistant, and programing director.
