Many things have motivated me in my life to be a better student and work as hard as I can because one day these opportunities will not be there. I started playing basketball when I was only 5 years old and I have continued playing my whole life. I've had many bumps in the road during my career. One was when I had a benign tumor in my foot that was removed when I was 13 years old. This humbled me and really showed me that I only have one chance to do everything in life. This has motivated me to work harder over the years whether that be in school, sports or just to be a better person overall. In school, I take have taken and am taking multiple AP and Honors classes to push myself and get the most out of my high school education. I'm also bilingual, I have been learning Spanish since kindergarten and have continued that through high school and am now fluent in two languages. On the court, I am now the leader of my high school team as I have chosen to speak up and be that person. I'm glad to say that I have grown on and off the court because of the challenges in my life and because of basketball.
