My name is Cooper Bladow, and I am a Class of 2023 combo guard from Orange County, California with a 4.4 GPA and a basketball IQ to match my strong academic success. My collegiate goal is to play basketball at a strong academic school where I can contribute on and off the court. I have always been one of the physically strongest players on the court, and I have a lot of offensive weapons that allow me to score from anywhere and to make others around me better. I am also a relentless defensive player. This past year as the only junior who earned a starting role, I consistently led my team on offense and defense, culminating in a playoff run to the quarterfinals (lead scorer, ave. 15 ppg, All-CIF HM), which is the farthest my high school has reached in many years. I was awarded Offensive Player of the Year and I serve as the team's captain. I am having a strong senior season, averaging 24 ppg (second-highest PPG and top ten 3PM in Orange County) and leading my team in assists, rebounds and steals, and I plan to continue exceeding all expectations.
I'm not just a basketball player and a good student. I have been a member of my school's student government (class vice president, student outreach commissioner), multiple honor societies and student mentoring programs at my school. I think it's just as important to contribute to my community as it is to contribute on the court. Thank you for considering me for your program.
