First of all, I love to play basketball! I get up on weekday mornings to go and train at the gym before school with my dad Harold Miner who was a First Team All American at USC and the Sports Illustrated National College Player of the Year at in 1992 who went on to be the 12th pick in the ‘ 92 NBA draft. I was just selected 2nd Team All Bay League on my Redondo Union Varsity team and we finished with a 25-6 record and #11 in the State of California. I also workout 6 days a week with a trainer to strengthen my body and work on my speed and overall athleticism. I’m a late bloomer but have gained 30 pounds of muscle in 9 months through strength training and have increased my speed, quickness and overall explosiveness. I am a great three point shooter and have consistent NBA range as a shooter and have a 41inch vertical jump off of an approach and am now catching lobs and tip dunks regularly and I can also now touch the top of the square on the glass. I’m also very coachable and have always been an unselfish player who tries to play the game the right way and will make the extra pass. I love big moments and taking big shots at critical moments late in games. My ball handling, shooting, reading screens, and on ball defense as well as creating in the high and side pick and roll game continues to expand. As my strength increases my overall game just continues to grow as well. I am a very good student and likes to challenge myself academically with a very rigorous schedule and hope to get a college basketball scholarship to continue my basketball career at the next level. My favorite players to watch and study are Steph Curry and Ja Morant. I’m really excited to see how far I can go in this game as I continue to work on my game everyday and train and build my body. You should want me to be in your program because my best is still ahead of me and I will become a great player one day soon! I played on the JV as a sophomore but was moved up to the Varsity in the latter part of my sophomore season. CURRENT VARSITY STATS 12.2 PPG 67% THREE POINTERS ON THE #11RANKED TEAM IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA (25-6) AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL IN THE STATE. We finished the season with a loss in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 Semifinals and I was selected to the 2nd team All Bay League as a junior.
