Michael Almeda '13 Recruiting Profile

I'm MIchael James Almeda. My hieght is 6'2 i weigh about 156, but I've been in the gym everyday working out so i can gain muscle. I've only played my junior year due to grades, but now i have a 2.5 and I am a starter for my highschool varsiety basketball team. I play mainly Sg and Sf but i can play Point gaurd. I wish to play a full four year of College basketball even if i don't play much my freshmen year. My game is developed around midrange and 3 pointline.I can also get to the basket in 2 steps from the three pointline. I'm the kind of player who no matter what never gives up. My current coach is a yeller to me especially, mainly because im a huge part of our team. I'm a team player and always have been im not a ball hog i always look for a better shot, but I am not afriad to shoot the ball. I Would like for any College Coaches reading to this to understand I'm a quick learner. I was able to develope my midrange game in a matter of a few months and now on the court im deadly to other players. I see alot of people saying that they want JIMMER range, but i'd rather have a quick midrange jumper or drive to the basket and draw a foul. Baksetball is a mental game i believe, where you do need the talent and skill and confidence, but you also have to be able to read what is going on to use all your talent skill and confidence. My love for basketball in my eyes is unmatched Im always looking for a challenge, and I believe i can play at anylevel if i put in the work. My favorite player is a man named Dre Baldwin he's not and NBA player, but hes smart and he Say's you have to work on your game everyday. People say to forget what people are doing, but i look at what they do and try and do it better or practice harder then them. Again i like a challenge.
