My name is Marquise Humphreys and I have been playing sports since I was 4 years old. I've played baseball, football, and soccer; but I realized that I'm most passionate about basketball. As a young kid, I've always been part of winning teams and I really enjoyed competing for the championship titles. I've also received several awards throughout all these years of playing sports, as well as academic awards in school. My greatest accomplishment so far is helping my team win the CIF Championship Title during my freshman year in high school. This experience taught me a lot about teamwork and being selfless for the greater goal of winning. My parents are business owners and my mom's family are immigrants from the Philippines. They have taught me a lot about the importance of good work ethic, both in my education and sports activities. I also take pride in being bi-racial and I'm blessed to have had the opportunity to play in the National High School Basketball tournament in the Philippines in March. I'm currently playing travel basketball for the Under Armor Circuit and have several viewing tournaments scheduled in Southern California, Arizona, South Carolina, Atlanta and Las Vegas this summer. I believe that my experience and unique qualities make me a great candidate for any college team who is looking for a well-rounded player with good values and character.
