David Lee '20 Recruiting Profile

    I wish to compete at a level beyond what most people would imagine given my physical height. I aspire to have an important role on a winning team. I wish to utilize my basketball skills to acquire the academic background and personal connections to eventually work for a NBA franchise or some major network doing sports analytics. I want straight A’s and a good circle of friends to keep me straight. I am a top candidate for your team because I am disciplined on and off the court, very coachable and a good teammate who can keep my fellow teammates in check.

    I think I have a winning character when it comes to making a winning team. I am disciplined on and off the court and keep my friends and teammates disciplined as well. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make that true whether it’s taking a teammate to sleep on my couch so he can get up on time, helping them with their school work, or making plans with them so they don’t get in any trouble.

    Academically, I am a top student in my classes. I am an active student and ask questions as much as possible to make sure I understand everything that is being taught. I also help tutor other students so they’re able to understand the material which helps me to understand it more thoroughly as well. I personally love math and I desire a career in sports analytics or statistical analysis to mix together my two passions: sports and math.

    Athletically, I am a hustler. I get every loose ball and challenge a lot of rebounds over bigger players because of my greater desire to win the ball. I am also very coachable. I apply almost immediately what I am being taught and relay it to my other teammates. I am a great leader who keeps my team focused on our real goal. Lastly, I’m just a straight out dog on the court always looking to compete.

    Overall, I think I would be a great fit for your program in all aspects. I bring a winning culture academically, athletically and socially. Having me on your team will impact your program in a positive way and will support and/or create a winning culture.
