For my junior year I started on the Prolific Prep Select JV team during the high school season, as well as in the spring when we played 16U, I am a point guard and can play both guard positions. My stats were 13.8PPG on 55-42-91 shooting splits, and also averaged 3.6APG, 2.9RPG, and 1.9SPG, and only 1 turnover a game. For my last 4 games during the spring I averaged 18.8PPG, 5.8APG, 5.5RPG, 2.8SPG, knocked down 2.5 triples a game, shot 31/57FG (54.3%) total and only 1 turnover a game. During my sophomore year in 15 games, I averaged 13.5PPG, 3.3APG, 2.7RPG, and 1.9SPG on 59-43-92 shooting splits. During my freshmen year at San Ramon Valley High School, I hit the most three pointers on the year (33), and that was twice as many as any of my other teammates for that year. As a basketball player, I can score in a variety of ways, whether it be catch and shoot, mid range pull ups, floaters, pushing the ball in transition, or taking it to the rack. I am also an exceptional passer, and I rarely turn the ball over. I am also very athletic and the fastest kid every time I step on the court, and I can apply great defensive ball pressure at the top. My rebounding can improve, as I have a 38 inch vertical leap, but need to go in for rebounds more. Overall as a player the biggest things I need to work on are more consistency with everything that I do, keep building up my basketball IQ, continuing to work on my change of pace and change of speed, and being more relaxed. I also need to keep working on the mental game as that will help me play better in the moment. The best thing to know about me is work ethic, because I will out work anybody, for example during COVID when there was no 5 on 5 live basketball games, I trained 7 days a week, started working on my mental game with coach Grant Parr, and improved my athleticism immensely by lifting weights. I also have the same work ethic off the court, as throughout my high school career I have averaged around a 3.9 GPA. At the end of the day my goal is pretty simple, become a better basketball player.

Backstory: (Optional to read)
My name is Joran Guy. Basketball means the world to me. Most people in this world view it as just a game, however I view it as a way of life. I started playing the game when I was 4 years old, when my dad and brother introduced me to the game, and I haven´t stopped since. In my younger years when I was in middle school I started getting a lot better, and every single day I would bring my basketball to school, get up hundreds and hundreds of shots before and after school, and play at lunch with my close friends. In my middle school years I started becoming really good at shooting, but at the end of the day I had an unbalanced game, because shooting was the best part of my game by far, and everything else was kinda average. I spent two years at San Ramon Valley High School and made freshmen as a freshmen, and then JV as a sophomore. My game developed a lot from my freshmen to my sophomore year, as new things like passing, athleticism, taking it to the rack, and defense, all become strengths and not just average. I left San Ramon Valley so that I would have better opportunity, and play against guys that are closer to my age, because I have always been super young for my grade and a late bloomer. So I decided to transfer to Prolific Prep in Napa, and play for the select JV team as a junior. Unfortunately, Prolific Prep could not create a varsity team for my level, so now I have to figure out where I am going to go for my senior year.
Future goals:
Play college basketball at any level.
Do a year of post grad before college to develop as a player more, and mature.
Figure out where I am going for my senior year.
Continuing to work hard, and be a better player on the court and person off of the court.
