I’ve been dedicated to basketball for almost a decade now, and I’ve decided that I want to continue playing the game with even more dedication at a higher level. I had success in my first year of high school basketball by starting and rarely coming out of freshmen games. I was the 6th man on our JV team and I practiced with the JV/Varsity teams on most days. In my first season of high school basketball, I scored over 500 points and had at least 7 assists per game.
I take pride in being a top multi-sport student athlete at my high school and I want to continue playing basketball in college. I believe that it is important that I do well in the classroom, on the court, and on the soccer field. I want to get better at all the things I am interested in because it will help me be successful in life. I especially enjoy studying science and history and I am looking into majors in these areas in college.
I stand out as a student-athlete because of my good grades, my athleticism, my competitiveness, and my defensive ability. Anyone can score, but basketball is so much more than that. It’s about building connections with coaches, teammates, defense, rebounding, and sportsmanship. I’m a very versatile player who is always hustling and who is dedicated to winning. No matter where I choose to continue my basketball career, I’m ready to give it everything I have.
