Hi, my name is Bernard Russo V. I go by Bernie, and the V in my name stands for the me being the 5th generation. I attend Vinal Technical High School out of Middletown, CT and have been a varsity basketball player since my freshman year. My goals as a student-athlete at the college level is to be the best at both being a student, and being an athlete. My goals are to push myself more than I ever have before, be the best athlete I can be, create new relationships, and ultimately become the best version of myself. For any team who shows interest in me, should know I always put my teammates before myself. I am in no way selfish when it comes to playing on the court. Like my (outside of sports life) I care more about other people than myself and that carries out on the court as well. The love I have for this sport is unmatched, I spend just about everyday at the local basketball courts facing 20-30 year old players looking to make myself better. I've been an athlete my entire life, playing just about every sport growing up, from football, lacrosse, baseball and of course basketball, being an athlete has always been one of my consistent traits throughout life. In the classroom, I always strive to do my best. I get my work done, and understand my responsibilities and priorities of being a student-athlete.
