I had a strong athletic background as an energetic multi-team soccer player however, the down time during Covid isolation was tough on my mental and physical well-being and I returned to school out of shape and overweight.
In my Freshman year, I was determined to overcome these obstacles, so I boldly tried to earn a spot on the basketball team but could barely finish the tryout session, but fortunately the coaches recognized my determination and invited me back for next season.
Learning basketball mechanics and athleticism, and studying basketball intelligence, has been my passion and led me to play Varsity Fall League as a Junior.
My basketball intelligence on the court for when and where to pass, has earned assists and rebounds with a higher than average success rate due to my awareness of teammates positions in play while reading the defense.
My strongpoint as a Point Guard is defense as I am able to pick up 94 feet and disrupt the offense with my hustle and communication skills.
My greatest strength as a team player is my exemplary work ethic off the floor from fitness training, ball handling, shooting and practicing several hours per day, to consistent focus, energy and timing of plays on game day.
As an intelligent, team oriented, developing player, seeking to play collegiate basketball and being able to accept my role on a team while pursuing my interests in Behavioral Sciences, I believe my qualities, determination and skills will bring value to your basketball program and college institution.
