When people say, “hard work pays off” and “being patient will get you far” is the truth. I’ve gotten hurt my freshman and junior season of basketball and my sophomore year of AAU season was done due to covid. I thought it was over for my basketball dreams. My parents telling me to look for plan b’s because basketball looking a little rough and just different things getting to my head which caused me to lay off the sport a bit. Senior year comes around and basketball is back up and I decided to give it one last try and I ended up making varsity. Over the time of me being hurt I was in physical therapy and working out myself and that self grind paid off. I was a starter the whole season and went to the Japanese/American School Basketball Championship in Japan. We ended up losing but we fought to get that far and thats just hard work itself. What makes me a good candidate for your team is my listening ability and being coachable. Me listening to the coaches voice in game and adjusting helped me get in spots that contributed to my teams success. On my past teams I’ve been the voice of the team. Communication is my strong suit. I will inform a teammate if they’re in the wrong spot or an opponent is open. My end goal in all of this is just to make my family proud and have them at peace forever.
