Charles West '19 Recruiting Profile

After achieving a state title in middle school, where I was named to the All Tournament team, I enrolled in Spanish River Community High School in Boca Raton, FL. Spanish River is in the extremely competitive, Class 8A, District 10 in Palm Beach County. As a student, I have excelled. I am enrolled in Honors classes and I am looking forward to AP coursework next fall. As a player, I led the team in scoring for 2 seasons in a row, earning the “Mr. Offense” award for the 2016/2017 season. I averaged 16 pts, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. I am now preparing for the next step in the journey of playing at the next level. Through lots of hard work and determination, I have secured a roster spot on the Ball 4 Lyfe travel team based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. I will be playing my travel basketball on the highly competitive, Adidas Uprising circuit.

It has always been a goal of mine to play college level basketball. It is what drives me to work hard in practice, with my trainer, in the weight room and when I am in the gym working on my game. I enjoy competition. I am a proven winner. I have never experienced a losing season in my young career. I also feel that I am a good team mate. I encourage my team in practice and in the games. I am a young man of character. I try to be the best citizen possible at all times. And I try to lead others by example. I feel that my skill set and my character will make me an asset to any program that I am fortunate enough to play for.
