This spring started off different...
I joined a new travel team by the name of Q6 All Stars, and during our very first meet for practice at the All Saints Episcopal Church, Coach Baety and Willie Anderson advised us that before the workout we had to fulfill our community duties. It was 8:30am and here I was packing boxes of food for the homeless and less fortunate... and before I could get annoyed at the fact that I was up this early and not playing basketball, I found myself feeling extremely grateful for the opportunity to help others.
I'm heading into my senior year of high school, and to be honest, I do not have it all figured out. I'm not even sure what I would like to major in. However, I do know that I enjoy learning and I believe that it's reflected in my grades. I also know that I thrive off of life experiences, and the experience I had at practice the other morning makes me feel pretty confident that whatever I choose to do in life will be most fulfilling if I'm put in a position to help others.
Thanks for taking the time to review my profile.
