My name is Justin Almeida, and I have been playing basketball since I was four years old, and since I stepped on a basketball court I fell in love with the game and been aspired to play basketball at the collegiate and pro level. I have been through a lot of obstacles in my life especially with receiving a lot of doubts, and my loved ones passing away made me go even harder. Every time I step on a basketball court I give it all I got with a lot of heart. I have strong shooting abilities, ball-handling skills, basketball IQ, and I love to play defense. I am a team leader on and off the court whether it’s on a court or not. I always try to be the best at whatever I do, and am a great teammate, player, and friend on every team I play for. I try to lead by example by encouraging my teammates when they are going through bad times. I am a extremely coachable and hard-working player that loves to be in the gym and outdoor courts no matter if it’s raining, hot, cold, but getting better every single day. I’ve sacrificed many things to get where I’m at so far.
Off the court, I study super hard and try to maintain a high GPA with good grades. I also give food to the people in struggle with church’s that supply needs in my free time. Other activities that I do off the court is watch film. I watch game film to help me see what I need to improve on and to increase my basketball IQ. One of my college goals is to win a NCAA Championship, Conference Championship for a college program one day, get a trophy(s) for player of the year (example: John R. Wooden award) and get my bachelors for what I will study. I am determined to work hard at whatever school program that I attend. I will push myself and my teammates so that we could achieve these goals for the school and the program.
I would like to attend a college or university where I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match for me where I could play at the highest competition possible. I hope & pray to become a great teammate and player to all my peers, and I just want to make my coaches, friends, angels, parents, and family members extremely proud.
