Personal Statement

My name is Tyler Brant.  I am starting my  junior year of high school (class of 2022) at American Heritage High School in Plantation, Florida, playing for former NBA player, Raja Bell. I was recently recognized as one of the top 25 players in Broward County, Florida, Class of 2022.  I am currently 6' 4" and expect to be at least 6'7" by the time I graduate high school.  I have played high level travel basketball for the past 7 years at the point guard and shooting guard positions.  My greatest strengths are my shooting ability, basketball IQ and play-making ability.  I have lead my team in scoring and assists for the last three years.  I work on my basketball skills every single day and because of that, I have developed a very good jump shot and can consistently make 3-point shots from up to 6-10 feet beyond the 3-point line as well as score on mid-range jump shots from anywhere on the floor.  I also use my length and ball-handling to go to the basket and am able to dunk because of my vertical jump, which I also work on continuously.  I am a very unselfish player and always want to make the right basketball play.  Above all else, I want to win, whether I am the one scoring or I help my teammates score.  I love the game of basketball.  I was selected to play three different travel sports but have chosen basketball because it is the game I love.  When I am not playing, I watch videos to learn from the best players what I can do to become better.  I want to find a college where I can continue playing after high school and use my skills to help the team and my teammates improve and win.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
