Hi, my name is Jamaree Spikes. I am currently a freshman at Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, FL. I have been playing basketball since age 5 and became passionate about it when I reached age 10. I’ve played other sports such as soccer, football, baseball and track but my desire was for basketball. My parents begin my career starting me out playing basketball with the YMCA. At that time, they saw something in me and I continue on playing for the Police Athletic League (PAL), Community City League, Community River City League and AAU along with School ball. In my 9 years of playing basketball I have accomplished 3 Championships. Twice I have received the MVP award when I played for Community City League and Middle School ball.
I am always striving hard to be the best. To improve my skills, I am constantly attending numerous basketball camps and strength training to increase my chances of rising above the rest. I have very supportive parents they both sacrifice to send me to the best basketball trainings. I am working very hard as it takes to play college basketball, and one day get the opportunity to go to the next level of NBA tryouts. My strongest attributes are defense, speed and driving to the hole. Every coach that has coached me says I have good potential of being a good basketball player.
As a Freshman, I know it is very important to keep up with my grades. My goal is to attend a Div. 1 college. My parents and I searched aggressively to find a good high school that will prepare me academically and spiritually. Next summer when I am not training, traveling or playing basketball, I plan on volunteering at Brooks Rehabilitation Clinic as one day I want to become a Sports Physical Therapist.
