Hi! My name is Jarrell Celestin and I love to play basketball. My biggest aspiration for the sport has to be the endless capabilities a player can have. Everyone can improve and gain skills in the sport regardless of how well they can play. I also love how team-oriented the sport is. The dynamic of being able to rely on others for the betterment of your team is an excellent aspect for me. One of my goals since middle school was to get better at the sport so that I could play in college. Building my abilities and teamwork skills in a sport that requires it is a great way to improve the way I see how I spend a lot of my downtime. It forces me to look at how the sport is played from a different perspective. I think I would be a great candidate no matter where I go because of the effort and attention I provide to my higher-ups to constantly get better. I am all for criticism if it can help me be the best version of myself. I have always been a student-athlete so academics have always been a priority. Basketball has always been a reward for me in the fact that I can always be myself in character on and off the court. One of my favorite things is that I can play this sport with my personality and my love for the sport can be spread through how I play. In most places, my skillset can help someone somewhere while playing the sport I love in how I act and influence others positively wherever I go. I think I would be a great addition regardless of where I end up.
