Matthew Stephens '24 Recruiting Profile

As a student athlete heading into my senior year this fall, I am approaching the recruiting process with a focus on the balance between my academics and athletics. I expect to graduate, class of 2024 with a 3.9-4.0 GPA.   I am eagerly awaiting the opportunity for summer AAU basketball, summer college camps, showcase events, high school training, and strength/skill training with my trainer and coaches. I encourage coaches to watch my 2022 high school highlight video. As a starting shooting guard, I am comfortable and confident scoring and passing from both the lane and the perimeter. I do understand my main focus both offensively and defensively is working in and around the paint, I also play a well rounded game that has me running the court and supporting my team in transition. I am thankful for my coaches, my parents & family for their ongoing support of my dream to be a successful student athlete  at the college level. I am interested in an opportunity that allows me to pursue a career (which I am still undecided on) while also pursuing my passion of playing college basketball. I have grown up in a Christian home and attend my local church every week and my faith is very important to me and guides my every day life. Thank you for your time and consideration.
