Juan Bruce '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Juan Bruce and my goals as a college student-athlete are to play basketball and to graduate with magna cum laude honors. What makes me a good candidate for any team is my work ethic and willingness to succeed. Every morning I wake up at 5 am to work out before school starts at 7, after school I go home and study,  then I play basketball or work out to help my game. I also have a strong will to succeed and better those around me. I am a very hard worker, which rubs off on my teammates and betters the team.  What makes me different than many other candidates my age is my work ethic and determination to succeed, as well as my mutual focus on both athletics and academics.  I am a very good student and I understand that being a student comes before being an athlete. To this end, I am in  the most rigorous course of study offered at my high school, the AICE program. Beyond my academics and work ethic, I get along very well with all my teammates on all of the teams that I play on and I understand the importance of being a team player.  To balance out all of my time playing basketball and to stay in shape I compete on the cross country team in the fall sports season.
