My name is Jordan Rodriguez and I am a 17 yr. old Senior at Orlando Christian Prep in Orlando, FL. I have a 3.5 GPA which consist of courses taken in dual enrollment, AP classes and honor classes. I received a score of 1120 on my SAT and a 21 on my ACT. I am currently a member of the Leadership class at my school and received the National Junior Honor Society award my Junior year. I am a hardworking individual who also volunteers within my community when my schedule permits. My short-term goal is to end my high school career with a 4.0 GPA, obtain a scholarship academically/athletically, and to get accepted into a college/university where I can study Communications/Broadcasting and someday start my career as a Sports Analyst.
In addition to my hard work academically, I also exert the same energy and dedication on the court. I’m a 6’0” 172lbs. guard and a contributor of a two time 3A State Championship title in 2017 & 2018. I am a team player, a team leader with a keen eye for the floor and a consistent shooter. I was introduced to the game of basketball at age 4 by my dad who was a high school coach. Through these years of playing the sport that I love, I have learned that there is a lot of competition out there and to succeed you must be dedicated and willing to put in the hard work. Now as a 17-year-old high school senior, I am ready to work harder and take on that challenge at a college/university I can call home.
My long-term goals are to continue to play college, and possibly, professional basketball and obtain a college degree. A degree at a college that offers the academic and athletic programs that I am looking for to start the next chapter of my life on and off the court. In return, I am confident that my humble, dedicated and hardworking personality can be an asset to any team where I can be a contributor to the team’s success as I’ve done in the past.
