I am Renato Ruiz. I've been playing basketball since I was 7 years old. I am very religious I talk to my family, friends, and coaches about God. Everything happens for a reason. I help people that's in my community like being in a harvest drive. I started playing AAU when I was in 4th grade playing for plantation power 4th-7th grade. Then played for Let It Fly 8th-9th grade. Then I played for Team Work 10th-11th grade. It's a blessing travelling and playing the game I love. I'm also a hard-working student athlete. I get A's and B's if not straight A's. I always challenge myself to get better grades each school semester. My work ethic on and off the court is very discipline. I always ask or tell my coach to work out at 6 a.m. at the beach. I at least train 3 times a day. basketball is not just a game it’s my passion I love it a lot. I'm very competitive. I never want to lose. But I say to myself if I lose its another learning experience. I'm very tough on myself because basketball can take me somewhere. My main goal is to make it to the NBA buying my parents and grandparents a house and give them back all the sacrifices they did for me to let me conquer my dreams. I want to become the first professional in my family and build a legacy on my name. I played varsity basketball at the end of my freshmen year at Western High school. Then played varsity at Western High school my sophomore year. Then I transferred my junior year to American Heritage school on a full scholarship for basketball. I've been in honorable mention my junior year. Then I got 3rd team at tournament in Atlanta "Peach State." During my AAU season I got All-Tournament 4 times. My junior year playing at the "Kreul Classic Tournament" we won the championship and I got All-Tournament. Whatever team I'm on I will always go 110%. I will make my teammates better and including myself.
