Reef Lechuga '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Reef Lechuga. I’ve played the game of basketball passionately and competitively since the 6th grade. I’ve always looked up to the older players around me and have not only watched them to learn but challenged myself by competing with only the very best of the people I knew to become the best player I could, I started the second year I played JV basketball as a starter averaging 16.3 points across our first 4 games and finishing the season averaging almost 14. I continued to work on my craft with some of the very best coaches and players around me, this past season I averaged 15.5 points on 41% shooting from behind the 3pt line on more than 8 attempts per game. I quickly improved throughout the season and gained a lot of trust with teammates and showed leadership to all of them not only as a leading scorer but doing my best to help those eager to learn and improve, I always wanted to see my teammates develop the same passion for the game that I had, and I always had high expectations for myself stepping on to the floor. I’ve now been working diligently perfecting my craft and rounding my game. Getting a chance to prove my skill on a collegiate level would be a dream come true and when the time comes I know I’ll be able to preform.
