Lance SMITH '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lance Smith 2019 Point Guard, my collegiate goal is to obtain a degree in law.  I have begun my journey as I have developed positive study habits, a desire to help others and a will to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

I aspire to be like my parents who both have graduate degrees and successful careers.  Hard work and consistency has always been a part of my family culture, which has been instilled in me since birth. 

I am a good candidate for a team, as I bring the ability to be a great teammate, an easily coachable attitude, a desire to learn and grow, and a consistent effort on the floor.  I have also been involved in team sports for the last 10 years and understand and grasp the concept of team. 

What makes me different from any other recruit in character is I am truly an honest and caring person who believes that a team has a shared responsibility to succeed.

Athletically I am a hard worker who works outside of scheduled practices, and I am constantly looking for opportunities to get better, whether through personal training or self-development.

I am always looking to get in the gym, weight room or on the track to put in additional work. Academically I am continuing to work on improving my academic standings, I have been able to juggle a full schedule and consistently excel in the classroom.
