HIGH BASKETBALL IQ, TOUGH DEFENSE, QUICK, 3 POINT SHOOTER, A/B STUDENT SHOOTING/POINT GUARD
I have always loved sports.i am a competitor.
From my days of playing recreation football and winning state runner up numerous times and playing recreation basketball where my team was the first in the county to win a state recreation basketball championship, I always knew that sports would be a part of my life . Winning the Region 4A Championship and making it to the Elite 8 were the highlight of my high school basketball career last year. We had a perfect 14-0 home record. Although I am proud of that record, I am more proud of my scholastic GPA. I ma currently at a 3.7 GPA, and I am on track to graduate as an honor graduate in May.
There were some things that I really had to learn about myself this year. First of all, I had an injury to my knee during a pick up game at a basketball court. I had to really pull myself together to be ready by basketball season, but I was determined that I would be back. I did it, and I came back better than ever. This year of my junior year, I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete. I started off not playing the first couple of games, but through hard work and dedication, I moved to getting more playing time and now I have moved my way to starter. With being a starter I managed to hold down a good number of points and assist with not playing at the first few games .
That experience helped me grow as a person and lead me to re-focus my own efforts on becoming a solid wing/point guard capable of playing at the college level.
I play hard tough defensive. I am quick. I will go after the ball. I WILL create turnovers for my teamates. I am a team player. I like to see my teammates succeed. I am COACHABLE.
As I move from a student athlete to an academic athlete, I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and the court. I would like to pursue a school with an outstanding academic reputation that offers Computer Information Systems or Computer Science. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team. I believe my best fit would be at any school where I can learn academically and athletically to improve my skill.
