To Whom it may concern,
My name is Avery Pauole and I am currently a Junior at Henry Perrine Baldwin High School in Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii. I was born and raised here on the island and have played basketball since I was five years old. I come from a family of athletes and educators who have taught me the value of receiving a higher education and it is my hope to be able to get my degree while also pursuing my passion of playing basketball. I work hard both on and off the court and have been told by my teachers, coaches and mentors that I am a very hardworking, dedicated, coachable, humble, student-athlete. I made my high school varsity team my freshman year and we made it to the state tournament where we ended up coming in fifth place. I have played club ball for Wai HI Hoops, Stingrays, Man Up and Sparks Basketball Clubs here in the islands. Unfortunately, a short time after our state tournament my freshman year, the world shutdown due to COVID-19. Our state did not allow high school sports during my sophomore year so I trained and played in as many outdoor leagues as possible. I am looking forward to playing this year as a Junior as our state has opened back up and has allowed high school sports to resume again. I would love to pursue my passion of playing at the collegiate level and I hope that you can help me achieve that goal.
Sincerely,
Avery Pauole
