In My household College has always been a top-priority. My mom got her degree from Devry Technical Institute and she is a very successful IT Infrastructure Forensic Analyst. My Dad didn't graduate from college, but he did attend college and currently works for as a Railroad Conductor Engineer. My whole life has been centered around the importance of college and how I will be the first person in my household to attend and graduate from a traditional college and be able to play basketball while doing it.
My goal in college is to make an impact on whatever floor that I am blessed to be on. I am willing to listen and be coached. I believe I am different because I have a high basketball IQ which allows me to read defenses quickly and adapt to new offensive sets easily. I am a skilled scorer with shooting range well beyond the 3 point line with good accuracy (just above 56% on varsity level) and I can score at all levels. I have strong ball handling skills and I am calm under pressure. I also play fundamentally sound lockdown defense. Basketball is my passion and I want it more than most kids that were naturally born with skills. I have worked so hard, pouring my heart and soul into becoming the best player I can be since I was 5 years old and I train everyday. I'm co-captain of my team this year. My hard working mindset combined with my high IQ ability makes me the perfect athlete to recruit.
I'm almost straight A student with a GPA of 3.72 for my junior yr. and I'm working towards becoming a member of the NHS (National Honor Society) for these last 2 years of high school. I think that in general I'm an athletic scholar and I would love to play college basketball if given the opportunity. I'm a team player, supporting my fellow players and feel I have a lot to bring to any team. Growing up in this type of collegiate environment of becoming a student athlete in college is not only my goal but it will become my life after high school.
