Tommy Zimmer '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tommy Zimmer, I am 17  years old, and I am in the graduating class of 2022.  I have been playing Varsity Level basketball since Freshman year, and earned the starting guard position at the start of my Sophomore year.  As a Junior, I was selected to serve as Varsity Captain and was awarded 1st Team All-Conference.  I will my finish my high school basketball career this yea, and in reflection, would not change anything about the personal statement I wrote four years ago.   Basketball is meant to be played competitively, and I love the challenge, the high energy and the intensity of the game.  Basketball has always been my passion, when I am playing the game I am at my most relaxed.  I tend to be a leader, both on and off the court.  I work well with others, and my teammates look up to me.  I always try to set a good example.   I pride myself in the hard work and dedication I put forth.  I practice basketball daily, whether ball handling in my basement, or shooting at the gym.  I focus on my strength and agility, as well as endurance. I understand the value of a good education and am committed to keeping my grades in good standing. I currently hold a GPA of 3.72.  I believe that the combination of my character, hard work on the court, and in school, assist me in standing out among other recruits.
