LeRoy Patterson '18 Recruiting Profile

I have been recognized with honors currently holding a cumulative 3.1765 gpa out of a 4points at Homewood Flossmoor High School where I am currently attending now and have received awards from numerous areas such as Basketball, National Honor society etc. Currently I play for the Old Gold AAU Team On the southside of Chicago where I was born.  I have been gifted to play different positions on the court from offensive 2-4 to defensive.  I have played AAU since the fifth grade. I am also the Captain of my high school team, Homewood Flossmoor Vikings where I am currently a senior. Basketball is my life. I can remember watching television when I was younger and looking at it as more than a sport but as an art. I am in for the challenge and have learned that in order to master this you have to be willing to put in a lot of work which I have dedicated myself to since 5th grade. Basketball is not only a lifestyle for me but also for my family who has invested in seeing me succeed in the sport that has become my passion. I understand how important teamwork, strategy, tact, execution, and listening play a huge role in becoming successful in the sport. I also understand how important it is to continue my education and balance it all. I have mastered my work ethic as well as work play balance. I work out every day of the week year around.

If given the opportunity, I will ensure you that my goal is to add value to the team, to the school’s reputation and bring wins home as well as my architecture degree and graduation in the class of 2022.
