My name is Marcas Bohr and I am a PF/SF looking to play at the next level. I have always been passionate about playing basketball, starting in my first league at three years old. Growing up across the street from Carver Hawkeye Arena, I’ve taken advantage of many opportunities to watch and learn the game. In terms of basketball, I’d like to see how far I can get and I know it’s possible if I put enough effort into it.
I take academics as seriously as I do athletics; I was admitted to the Proviso Math and Sciences Academy to take my knowledge to the next level. School is very important to me and my family. My mom graduated with a PhD and now she works at the University of Chicago. She did most of this while being a single mother, which has inspired me and taught me that anything is possible with hard work and commitment. I plan on majoring in either a medical field or in graphic/visual arts with plans for a future master's degree. In summary, I am a student athlete with a bright future that I’m willing to work hard towards and am looking forward to the opportunity to play college basketball.
