My name is Michael Jabari Quigley, my family and friends just call me Jabari. I attend Libertyville High School in Libertyville, Illinois. Like most truly competitive athletes, I really want to play basketball at the highest level possible. I would like to earn an athletic or academic scholarship so as to save my family the the cost for me to attend a strong academic university and so that my parents have enough money to send my three younger siblings to college after me. I have big dreams and goals for the schools I would like to play at, but a strong academic reputation is essential. One day I would possibly like to be a coach or an athletic trainer, or even a team doctor, so playing basketball at the collegiate level would definitely help prepare me for those possible careers. I have been to various basketball camps at different colleges and universities, and I very much enjoyed the college experience. I am not afraid of a large campus environment as I enjoy the diversity and opportunities that come with a larger student body. Ultimately, I hope to tour more college campuses, big and small, in an effort to find the right fit for me athletically, academically and socially. Given my strong family ties in the Midwest, I would first look to explore schools in the Midwest, but my natural sense of adventure and desire to play basketball at the collegiate level, would allow me to be comfortable at almost any school across the country. Personally, outside of basketball, my family and my Faith are what I value the most and I rely on my family and my Faith as I pursue my athletic dreams.
