Trey Totheroh '21 Recruiting Profile

I started my basketball career at a very young age. I love the game of basketball and have had a dream of playing college basketball since Jr. High. I have set goals athletically and academically to reach this goal. I realize that I must be a student first and have made the honor roll each semester. I see myself as a great leader and as a Freshman I was treated as an upperclassmen because of my leadership and maturity level. I continue to develop my leadership skills by attending Point Guard College multiple times. And I have used those leadership skills to help my team overcome challenges and in celebrating together as a team.

I am fortunate enough to be a part of great sports programs at my school. As a Sophomore and a 3 sport athlete I have already started in 2 varsity regional championships (basketball, baseball) and started in a state championship football game (8 Man). Having had failure and success in the pressure games, I learned how to calm my nerves and control my emotions. I have learned that you can’t feel sorry for yourself because the game will go on just like in life, time won’t stop for you. I am not satisfied with those experiences but rather remain humble and hungry to go deeper in the playoffs.  I focus on controlling the things that are controllable and doing the ordinary routine things extremely well. I believe that I can make an immediate impact anywhere because I feel I can get any team on the same page in order to be successful. I enjoy making others around me better each day by being a great teammate, by focusing on not only my goals, but my team and teammates' goals.
