My ultimate goal is to play basketball in college, though the most important thing is academics. I plan to major in Sports Marketing/Sports Management. I enjoy being around sports and doing anything on the the court.
I am a varsity letter winner on a Sectional, Regional and Final 4 team that also won the Johnson County Tournament and we were runner’s up of the prestigious Hall of Fame Tournament last year. I accepted and excelled as a role player on a very successful team. For the last 2 years I have practiced with and worked against a McDonald’s All American and the 2019 Mr. Basketball in the state of Indiana. What doesn’t show up on a stat sheet is the Ivy League Education in Basketball that I have received the last 2 years! I am excited for my Senior season so that I can show everyone the leader and complete player that I have worked to become.
I was diagnosed with a learning disability (Sluggish Cognative Tempo or SCT) the summer between by sophomore and junior year. With the help of my parents, therapist and teachers and a lot of hard work on my part I was able to earn a 3.2 the spring semester of my Junior year.
I love playing basketball in the state of Indiana. Basketball is a huge tradition in Indiana and there is nothing that can compare to those Friday/Saturday night basketball games. Basketball is a phenomenal sport because it is such a team sport. When your team needs you, it gives you the ability to step up and make the shot that your team needs, grab the rebound that gives your team a chance, or be that defensive spark that translates to everyone else and gives them energy. I would love to be able to play basketball in college and use it to pay for my education.
