I aspire to play basketball at the collegiate level at a relatively academically rigorous Division 1 school. Throughout my whole life, the importance of academia has been stressed to me by my family and I hold myself to high expectations. Throughout my high school career, I’ve gone to private schools that I believe foster similar environments to universities I desire to attend in the near future, allowing me to easily transition. However, I attended public schools every year prior to high school, so I am very much familiar and open to largely populated schools.
In terms of basketball, I never have really intended to play for a powerhouse school, as I feel schools with much stronger academic reputations will create more opportunities for me beyond basketball. I am a rather quiet, laid-back kid as well and I would most likely fit in better at schools of that caliber for this reason. In addition, I believe I would be a great fit for any coach as I not only offer a great offensive skill set, but I take pride in being a high level defender.
