I have played basketball since the age of 5. My father taught me how to play and would sign me up for county teams. The very first Summer League team I played for, I was not selected, but asked if I could only practice with the team to learn. I ended up becoming a starter. I work very hard studying basketball on and off the court. Learning angles and strategies to benefit my team on offense and defense. I was injured my freshman year of Varsity basketball with a torn patellar tendon and had to sit out 75% of the season. I continued to rehab and work hard physically and mentally to come back to my one passion of playing basketball and continued my Sophomore year on Varsity. This year on varsity, I earned the highest +/- of 589 and the most rebounds. My dream has always been to play college basketball and study Secondary Education along with Sports Management. I am great with kids and volunteer my time in my community helping young children to improve their skills and become good citizens. My goal is to earn an education and at the same time play basketball at the highest level possible. In the next five or six years, I would like to take my education and move back Hawaii to teach the children of Hawaii.
