Joshua Grant '21 Recruiting Profile

I have always dreamed of pursuing my sporting dreams alongside a quality educational experience in the USA. I have played competitive sports from an early age ranging from Athletics ( https://www.thepowerof10.info/athletes/profile.aspx?athleteid=535497 ) , squash, tennis and swimming before focusing solely on my basketball. I have played for Manchester Magic Basketball Club in the National league for the past 10 years. I have been on the starting 5 for the majority of my time there. For the past 3 years I have played in the U18 and D2 men’s leagues. My college (high school) was also linked with the club where I played in the Elite Academy Basketball League nationally. I have been a part of the GB programme and was classed in the U.K. top 50 (2019) to be selected for Luol Deng’s UK camp. I’ve enjoyed training each summer in different countries. In 2019 I toured around California and Nevada with NABA  and played in several showcase tournaments. In 2018 I trained with Chus Mateo in Spain  and was awarded MVP.
Outside of playing sports, I love getting involved in community activities and I often do fundraising activities for the club and referee junior community games.

My family are important to me as I have been their  chief carer for most of my life. I want to make both them and myself proud.
