Growing up as the youngest of five brothers I quickly learned to compete in games and sports at a level higher than was expected of my age. Never settling for excuses has helped me find ways to advance my talents and to be competitive with those around me. This translated into organized sports at school where as a 7th grader I played up on the 8th grade team and again as a freshman I started on the varsity basketball team. I know the frustration of losing and have experienced seasons where my team has struggled to have success, but this has given me not just motivation to get better but also an even stronger desire to win.
Throughout my life I have always been very goal oriented and basketball is no different. Between my sophomore and junior year of high school I worked hard to become a dominant basketball player at the varsity level. I will continue to work this off-season to perfect my game and physical strength to the level of a college athlete, so I can fulfill my dream of playing basketball at the next level. I'm excited to be given the opportunity to play for the Iowa Prep club basketball team this summer so I can advance my skills and match myself up against other elite players. Playing basketball is something that has always been fun and I know with hard work and dedication I will be a dominant player at the college level.
