My name is Andrew Bicknese and I am currently a junior at Iowa Falls-Alden High School.
My goal after high school is to play basketball collegiately while studying business. I do not have a preference on the division of the team I play for as long as we are competitive and successful!
I am a good candidate for a collegiate basketball team because I work hard both during and off-season. Throughout the year, I make it a priority to go to the gym at least six times a week to shoot and work on drills. Secondly, I am a good teammate. I help and encourage others when needed. Lastly, academics are a priority to me and I make sure that my grades stay high and I am on top of my schoolwork.
I am different from other recruits in character because I make sure to always put in the work and do the right thing, even when no one is watching. In athletics, I do my best to never miss a practice and let my teammates down. It is so important to me to have a good relationship with both my teammates and coaches. Other than basketball, I am involved in track and football. Both of these sports help me to be a better basketball player by gaining strength, speed, and a competitive edge. In academics, I make sure to complete all of my work on time while maintaining high grades. I am always respectful of my teachers and strive to do my best.
I am so excited about the potential of having a collegiate career and will do everything I can to be the best player and teammate I can be!
