My name is Mitchell Koedam, I have been playing basketball since 3rd grade and I am always trying to make myself better be it in the classroom or on the court. I want to get a great education above all else in college. I am a good candidate for your team because I am all in all the time. I will go 100% even if we are winning or losing by a large margin. My effort does not stop until the final buzzer goes. I have the same philosophy in the classroom. I have never settled on a grade that I have received because I know that I can do better. My education always has and always will come first.
I am different from other recruits is that I am not looking for personal glory or making that big play. I am a big team player and would rather have my team be successful over me. I am often known as the team leader because I am always motivating my teammates no matter what the score. One major event that has made me who I am is my parent's divorce. It showed me that nothing in life is definite and you have to be the best you every day. I have been able to apply this to both my academics and athletics. My goal for high school is to receive Valedictorian. My academic goal for college is for me to do the best I can do in every class I take.
