Daton Elam '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing sports since I was able to sign up for t-ball and have always wanted to be active, but I started playing basketball in the 3rd grade and absolutely fell in love with the sport.  Ever since then I have played every chance I get and have always worked to improve my game. This includes working hard in practice, or going to the gym to put up shots or running drills. I continuously work to try to do whatever I can to be better at my game.  I strive to be a good teammate by learning and knowing my role on the court, as well as helping my teammates in any way that I can. I have aspirations of playing pro level basketball one day doing what I love. If pro ball doesn't end up working out, then I want to use basketball to get me to a college education. Academics wise, I want to either go into accounting or sports management and become a coach or trainer. I will always put 110% of myself into my athletics and academics to achieve my dreams and aspirations.
