I am a hard worker, and I pray to continue playing basketball after high school. It is what I love to do. When I was in the 6th grade, I found that a ball and a hoop were all I needed during the good and bad days. My parents were military, and we moved around a lot. Basketball, down at the YMCA or the local park courts, was the way I would make friends. I lived far away from my extended family, so my teammates have always become my family.
If I could get college paid for through the game I love, it would help me to reach my life goals easier. My education is important to meeting my goals. I understand the importance of hard work, because I work for an HVAC company during the summer. I hope one day to own my own company. I put everything into my goals, and basketball is not an exception. Growing up, the Most Improved Award was the most important award to me. I have won it four times in Middle School and High School, so far. I think that beating my own records is the way to succeed, and I strive for success every day.
