I started wrestling in 8th grade and from there have grown to love it. After the end of that middle school season, I was hungry for more so I joined the brand new kids club, to gain more experience. That season showed me a lot, in terms of where my abilities were in conjunction with other young athletes in the state. After that, my freshman season taught me a lot more about this sport in how I as an athlete need to work towards a goal. In that season I got beat at regionals and could not continue towards a chance to compete at the state tournament. That made me want to work even harder, so I made a goal to make it to the state tournament my sophomore year and went back to the kids club for more experience. From there I realized I needed to put more work into the sport by lifting consistently the following year with my coach. After all my work, I was able to achieve my goal, from freshman year, and made it to the state tournament. This past season showed me the level I am able to compete at and the standards I need to work towards. My newest goal for my upcoming junior season is to make it to the state tournament and place in it.
