I am looking for a fresh start at a new school and will have 3 years of edibility remaining. I have a 3.9 gpa in the honors program at Mars Hill and I am hoping to transfer to a school where I can finish up my undgrad studies and attend grad school.
I was recruited to Mars Hill University by then Coach Vic Florin, who took a leave of absence midway through the year and one of the assistants (Alex Biggerstaff) was promoted to interim head coach. At the conclusion of the season, Coach Vic was terminated , Coach Biggerstaff was not retained as the head coach, and instead the job was open. Eventually, Larry Davis was hired and he was my head coach this past year. I recently found out that all of the assistants are leaving Mars Hill and I decided that now was the time for me to leave too since I did not want to go through another coaching rotation (new coaches, new relationships etc.) I am looking for some stability in a program. I talked to Coach Davis about this and he fully supports my decision and offered to give me a strong recommendation (so, we left on great terms and I have a ton of respect for Coach Davis).
I am a relentless worker, a great student and a great teammate (always); I have proven that these attributes have translated into college.. I didnt play much at the beginning of the year, I sprained my shoulder in December and then contracted Covid at the beginning of the 2nd semester. But I logged time 4 games in mid/late February where I played 20+ minutes and split time between PG and SG. In those games I averaged 23 minutes per game: 7.2 ppg, 2 assists and 3 reb, while shooting 7-11 from the 3pt line during that stretch (I led team in 3pt% at 43.8% for the season)
I will be an asset to a college program and look forward to my next chapter.
