Donovan Davis '22 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals are to position myself to be prepared for life beyond college. I aspire to make the most of my college years and major in a math and science field of study. I am interested in attending a school that will challenge me both academically and athletically so that I can reach my full potential and achieve all of my future endeavors. 

I believe that I am a good team candidate because I am a dedicated player and very passionate about learning more about the game of basketball as well as being a team player. I have a good work ethic and am respectful to all individuals that I encounter on and off the court. I understand that I not only represent myself, but my family, team, coaches, and the university I will attend. I am a coachable and teachable player and student. I thrive at playing the point guard and shooting guard positions, but as a leader  I also understand all positions on the floor.

Although I am a team player, I am not a follower and I will be a positive influence to my teammates and others and make good choices throughout my collegiate career and beyond. My speed, shooting, and defensive tenacity are aspects of my game that sets me apart from many players, and I train hard to make sure that I am constantly improving. 

I believe that the training and experience as a team leader and point guard has prepared me to take on the responsibility of a collegiate student-athlete. I currently have a 4.0 GPA while taking both honors and advance placement courses. With the combination of athletic skill, high basketball IQ,  and a seriousness for academics, I believe that I can be a great asset to any basketball program.
