My name is Alyx Hardy I live in Waterville, Maine with my grandparents Sharon & Patrick Ayotte. My life before living with my grandparents was an upheaval. People tell me all the time that I could have been a really bad kid, in situations that would have led me to jail and no one would have blamed me. However, my grandparents have instilled a sense of self worth and betterment To my life. I want more for myself than I was born into. I pride myself on team work and accomplishment. I cheer on my teammates because if they fail, I fail and when one succeeds, we all succeed. I am an honor roll student, a volunteer and a role model because sports remain a privilege that I have and can lose at any time.
I am an all-around athlete that plays Baseball, Football and Basketball, for one season I swam on the mid-Maine Dolphins team. I love to swim but not competitively. Basketball and Football are my passion. I am good at but have a long way to go. Like most boys I have always dreamt of playing beyond my primary school years; with a college that will help me grow and succeed. While I intend to gain a degree in sports medicine my hopes are to go pro. I am not a conceded person or a person who thinks they are better than others because I know the work, I have left for improvement is immense. Playing basketball on a collegiate level is a long-term goal of mine. There is no one in my division or age group who can outrun me. My passion can be seen on the court as well as the classroom. I bring a winning mentality and a world class work ethic to whatever I am doing. I'll do whatever is needed to help my team win with grace and humility. Not only do I want to be the best on the court but off the court as well. I am coachable athlete with a natural ability to learn, adjust and do what needs to be done. I have had area high schools outside of my own contact my grandparents in hopes to get me transferred to their school to play. They said "no" because I am committed and invested in the school area that I've played years for.
I am considered and I believe a valuable part of the teams I play for.
