Julian King '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Julian T. K. King, and I am a Junior at Bowie High School, in Bowie, Maryland.  I am a dynamic, young man with many interests and talents.  I am an honor roll student, who has played varsity for the last three years on my AAU teams.  I am committed to excellence in scholastics, athletics, and giving back to my community. 

Basketball has always been there from my earliest memories, and I couldn't imagine what I would be without it. I know basketball can take me really far and I am willing to put the work in to maximize my chances of playing at the next level.  As a scholar and athlete, I wholeheartedly give 100 percent.  I am a team player who is coachable, committed to my team, and aim to always do what is in the best interest of my team. I have had to make many sacrifices over the years to pursue my passion. Instead of spending weekends hanging with my friends, I am dedicated to basketball practice and working on learning how to work with my team so that we can maximize the odds of winning our games.

Basketball is a big part of my life but, I also work hard at maintaining my grades and being a successful student. Throughout my academic career, I have been an honor roll student. I have great relationships with my teachers. Maintaining my grades and scholastic achievements is always my top priority.  Basketball has all helped me to understand the value of working hard for what I want. I even apply some of the strategies that learn from this sport to my life as a student.
