I did not start playing basketball at an early age. The most recent NBA championship featuring the Celtics and the Lakers inspired me to study the game of basketball for one year. I was 9 years old. It was after that year I began to play. I started as a good defender because I didn't know how to do anything else. But as I moved from elementary to middle and high school and now college. I have heard different coaches say one thing consistently about me. That is: "I like his work ethic." Basketball has been my greatest source of joy and pain. I have had injuries that taught me patience. I have had disappointments that tested my commitment. But I am learning what a process feels like and what leadership demands. I believe I have been given the gift to play this game at a high level. My academics have always come easily for me, but basketball has been one of my greatest trainers in life. So, as I prepare for the coming season my plan is to become unstoppable. How, . . through being humble enough to improve and consistent enough to increase my basketball IQ and committed enough to work on some part of my game every day.
